Hello and a warm welcome to my blog!
My name is Lucy Flynn and I live in North London with my husband Nick and my son.
I was inspired to create this blog to discuss ways of confronting the environmental crisis as a parent.
Environmental issues are often discussed with timeframes, ( we need 100% renewable energy by 2050, by 2075 we may have no usable soil left). I often consider how old my son will be at those moments in time and I started thinking that just as we make our homes safe for our children, we need to ‘babyproof the planet’ to ensure we leave a sustainable home for future generations.
Climate change is too important an issue to leave to those in power. The implications of a changing climate concern all of us and particularly our children. Driven by the love we share for them and for our shared home, we have the power to exert political, social and consumer pressure to protect their future.
This blog is a space to share and discuss campaigns and ideas and envisage a positive world.
